In the first month of the klikkie voice agent, close to 500 people talked to klikkie. The biggest surprise? People do not just give instructions, they tell the story behind their photos. Here is what we learned.
Key Takeaways
We launched the klikkie voice agent so you can make a photo book by talking instead of tapping. A month later, we looked at all the conversations, anonymised and without our own team, to see how people actually use it. Some things we expected. Others surprised us.
How many people talk to klikkie about their photo book?
In the first month, from 2 September to 2 October 2026, close to 500 people talked to klikkie about their photo book. Together they said thousands of things to it.
That is a lot of memories said out loud. Holidays, babies, pets and whole years in photos.
Mostly practical, always personal
Mostly practical things, said the way you would say them to a friend. These are the kinds of requests we hear most:
| What people say | What klikkie does |
|---|---|
| “Add the photos from our holiday” | Opens the screen to add your photos. |
| “Make the book” | Builds the first version, with pages, layout and cover. |
| “This was our first day in Lisbon” | Takes note of the story behind the photos. |
| “Go to page 12” | Jumps straight to that page. |
| “Show me other layouts for this page” | Shows layouts to choose from. |
| “Put Summer 2026 on the spine” | Changes the text on the spine. |
| “Undo that” | Puts the last change back. |
On average, every visit where someone talks to klikkie gets about six things done in the book, from adding photos to changing the cover.
People tell the story behind their photos
Yes, and this was the biggest surprise. In about 1 in 4 conversations, people do not just say what to do. They tell klikkie where they were, who was there and what happened, with things like “this was our first day in Lisbon” or “that is grandma’s garden”.
klikkie takes note of it while it works on the book. It confirms something we suspected. Talking about a memory comes naturally, typing about it does not. Read more about why making a photo book feels hard.
How long does a voice conversation take?
Shorter than you might think. A typical conversation takes about two minutes and five turns. People do not sit down for a long call. They say what they want, see it happen and carry on.
On the phone, often after 8 in the evening
On their phone. 86% of conversations happen on a phone.
The busiest hours are the afternoon and the evening. More than 1 in 4 conversations start after 8 in the evening, often the first quiet moment of the day.
Do people only talk, or also type?
They mix. Plenty of people who talk to klikkie also type at some point, for example when talking out loud is not handy. You can switch whenever you like.
And talking gets you just as far as typing. People who talk to klikkie build their book just as often as people who type.
Which languages do people speak to klikkie?
Two thirds of conversations are in Dutch, followed by English and German. We also hear French, Spanish and a handful of other languages.
